Those who are meek control their anger and impulses, and they know the art of waiting. Meekness is a level of quiet strength that allows for the soul to persevere through even the most challenging situations. When Jesus said that the meek will inherit the earth, perhaps it’s because while most people get fed up or quit trying in seemingly impossible situations, people who are meek use their patience, perseverance and quiet strength to overcome every obstacle they face. (Matthew 5:5)

We are about to celebrate Easter, the death, burial, and resurrection of our Savior, Jesus Christ. It was the greatest demonstration of quiet strength ever demonstrated. Jesus was betrayed, denied by those He loved and called friend, falsely accused, arrested…He endured it all with quiet strength. That day on Calvary he hung between one who believed in Him and one who didn’t believe and mocked Him. Quietly, He allowed him the choice, the same He does for each of us today.  And during it all, he demonstrated the greatest “quiet strength” ever shown. But, later the tomb was empty and He resides on the right hand of the Father!!  (Matthew 26: 57-7 5)

Today’s Melody…

The greatest strength is gentleness…(Iroquois Proverb). As a “sometime” volunteer at Jake E’s RR, I have witnessed quiet strength many times…the beautiful strong horses with students who have learned to trust these animals as if they were small timid lambs. It is an amazing awesome scene and one to witness with awe. You feel the quiet strength and healing almost the minute you drive through the gates. Jake E’s Riding RR can always use volunteers, donations and prayer.
