I have to confess, I broke down and had a Sprinkles cupcake this week. Not just any cupcake but a Sea Salted Caramel cupcake!!! Salt and sugar, you might ask? If you havn’t tried it, you have missed an amazing explosion of flavors. Taste buds are never the same.
Sidebar… two sessions on the treadmill burned the calories from the one cupcake. So, basically I’m back to square one this week!!
Fusion-the blending or melting of two or more things. In recent years, the food world has created many food trends by blending different cultural flavors that “normally” don’t go together….Asian Fusion…blend of Thai, Vietnamese flavors. Other food groups….Juices ….Orange- Pineapple- Mango Juice,. Cran-Apple, Peace-Tea, Raspberry-tea, yogurts are rarely plain or with one flavor, salads with watermelon, feta and mint(amazing!).
To my taste, some are great, some not so great!
If you’ve escaped or ran from these blended flavors, I encourage you to step out and try something new. Your taste buds will never be the same.
Food isn’t the only think where “fusion” takes place. Everyday life is often a blend of emotions. Like nature shows us during a rain storm the sun peeks out from the dark clouds and sends a rainbow. The Promise. God promises us although there will be storms He will walk through them with us.
When life throws a roadblock, remember you don’t have to lose your joy, through Him, your faith can fuse with anything that comes along….
Blessings and hugs….
2 Corinthians 6:10
