What do you do when a friend deletes you, unsubscribes from your life with no explanation. Do you ask why? Or, do you respect their decision, be blessed by the time you had, learn from the experience, and move forward and treasure the good memories.
In the world of technology and social media we “friend” people and sometime create this pseudo friendship. We check obsessively if we have messages, how many “likes” from these new “friends”. The other day I was typing on a site I don’t remember what, but this flash ad popped up with the message, “find out how many people have unfriended you”….REALLY??
True, not PSEUDO, friendships are treasures, they are the million little small things in life…the laughter at the right moment, the shelter from the storm, the shade on a blistering day, the silence when the world becomes too noisy, the comfort when others shut the door in your face, the knowing when to talk or just listen. They are the sun in the flower! Treasure the season that they are in your life and savor the memories if they shut the door.
We do have a great friend in our Savior and He will never “Unfriend or Unsubscribe” us!
Blessings and hugs…
Wishing to be friends is quick work, but friendship is a slow-ripening fruit…Aristotle
The Message (MSG)
9 Just as lotions and fragrance give sensual delight, a sweet friendship refreshes the soul.
