Castillo San Felipe del Morro(seen in the above painting in the distance) also known as Fort San Felipe del Morro or Morro Castle, is a 16th-century citadel located in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Its main purpose was to defend the port of San Juan by controlling the entry to its harbor.
San Juan was our last port, a few years ago, before heading home after a cruise. We had visited many beautiful places. Not only was the above view a breathtaking WOW moment, but learning the history of the area was fascinating.
