The song, Portrait by Freely, sings about ‘being a living, breathing portrait of Christ, not religious commotion… like you’re always serving”…beautiful words in a lovely song.

Often, when I want to paint, my mind isn’t in the place it should be, lots of commotion going on in my space. I can always see the difference in the pieces where I’ve put everything aside except the paints and canvas versus the times, I’m squeezing in some painting time. I try and “be still” and get spiritually prepared to let the paint take control and create a melody.

I hope whatever you are doing today, the commotion can be silenced long enough to get you prepared for your day…..God’s word is a great place to escape commotion.

Blessings and hugs….

Psalm 46:10

New International Version (NIV)

10 He says, “Be still, and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth.”
